Carolyn Sparey-Gillies

I am a practising professional musician living in Scotland, currently working as principal viola with the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra. However, I am also a very busy artist, time permitting, with work selling widely in galleries and shops in northern Britain. As a Baha'i artist, I am inspired by my belief in the unity of mankind and the beauty of the earth. Although I paint watercolours of my native Scotland and of the English Lake District where I grew up, most of my work involves the earth and its spiritual flowering. I specialise in miniature, using many of my paintings for cards, and included here is only a fraction of my output to date.
