(The Kitab-i-Aqdas - The Most Holy
Book of the Baha'i Dispensation)

"The Most Holy Book", It should be Most Dear,
Being the "Book" that we ought never to fear;
For it is for us, the Book of His Cause,
"The Kitab-i-Aqdas", the Book of His Laws.


These Laws are different for those of the Land,
Given to us, by God's Mighty Hand;
To welcome with Joy and Radiant Hearts,
And Rejoice in Their keeping, like Singing Larks.


To keep them without love will do us no good,
Like a stranger who failed, and not understood,
For these are Laws of Spiritual Founts,
It's the spirit in their keeping, that really counts.


Though many aren't binding, on us at this time,
Yet to keep them will certainly Brighten one's Clime,
For He'll shower His Graces, upon the sincere.
For "The Most Holy Book", to them is Most Dear.
