Steve Day - The Happy Sky
I remember a happy sky,
I remember the stark moon stepping from her fleeced charriot
Into the black invisible.
I called aloud that secret name
Sweet upon the lips of white eternity.
All existence sang a song of oneness,
And trembled within the chambers of her exquisite being.
Abha, Abha, Abha.
The happy sky shivered in an orange embrace,
The orange light hovered above her majestic throne and
smiled a smile of incomparable and exquisite content.
Sometimes, when the monster clouds obscure, and quick dark-
ness drives the white doves to their secret homes, we huddle
together and sing the songs of a happy sky.
